Rachel
at the heart of hedge is Rachel, with a love of flowers, colour and interiors she has an eye for sourcing and curating beautiful, one of a kind objects to make hedge a unique place to shop bringing luxury and style to Birmingham’s independent shop scene
Rachel creates your stunning bouquets in her signature whimsical style and is passionate about sustainable floristry and seasonal flowers
Rachel has brought together a group of like-minded women that make up her team
Founder
with a background in illustration, print and textile design, Rosie brings her own unique creativity to hedge, with strong influences from her love of folk art and music
she is a skilled sewer and makes a lot of our hedge range which include scarfs, hats and lampshades… with more plans afoot!

the talent behind our beautiful window art and signage, sian has a gift for bringing ideas to life with her brush strokes inspired by vintage printed ephemera, children’s picture books and old advertising labels of the past
she delivers your flower orders and you may have had the pleasure of her smiling face at your front door - Sian is also responsible for keeping the biscuit tin topped up in the shop!

you’ll most likely find Carolyn with either a camera in hand or tapping away behind the laptop - she takes the pictures for the website and instagram and keeps on top of the web design and marketing side of things. she writes our weekly newsletter ‘hedge trimmings’
carolyn loves nothing more than rearranging the shop and then photographing the results to share with the hedge community
carolyn
a talented freelance florist, sally lends her creative flare and energy to the shop every couple of weekends a month, bringing a strong sense of her own style and contemporary twist to her arrangements
she takes the lead on flowering our events and weddings and has a great eye for creative impact on both big and small scale projects
you will find her lovely smiling face throughout our website and on our instagram modelling new clothes and demonstrating her floristry skills
Sally
another talented freelance florist, you can find Lorraine here every Thursday conditioning and arranging the flowers that arrive from the growers with care and attention to detail
her creative energy is invaluable and she works alongside Rachel to interpret the brief beautifully
outside of hedge she is a brilliant local fitness instructor

our saturday girl, lovely jemimah helps get the shop spic and span, ready for the weekend shoppers.
she’s a whizz on the till and is the one to call when any tech issue arise - she also washes and preps the vases ready for the following weeks bouquets - she makes a good cuppa too!
